Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 June 2026This Privacy Policy explains how DAEM ("DAEM", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the DAEM mobile application (the "App") and the website at daem-app.com (the "Site"). By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details. When you create an account you sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address. We receive the email address associated with that sign-in. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email, in which case we receive a private relay address.
- Profile. A username and optional display name that you choose. These are visible to other users on leaderboards.
- Communications. If you email our support or partnerships addresses, we receive the contents of your message and your email address.
Information created by using the App
- Throw scores. The rotation counts, airtime, and related measurements produced when you take a scored throw, along with timestamps, so we can keep your history, compute personal bests, and rank leaderboards.
- Motion sensor data. The App reads your device's motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to measure a throw. This raw motion stream is processed on your device. A downsampled summary of a scored throw may be sent to our server to verify the score. We do not use motion sensors for location or to identify you.
- In-app economy. Records of free and purchased "spins", referral credits, and any active subscription entitlement.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data. Basic technical information needed to operate the service, such as a device/session identifier, app version, and error logs.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, or microphone/camera input.
2. How we use information
- To provide the App's core function — scoring throws, keeping your history, and ranking leaderboards and spintimes.
- To operate accounts, authentication, and the referral and spins systems.
- To process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- To verify scores and protect against cheating and abuse.
- To respond to support requests and improve the App.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run DAEM, and where required by law:
- Supabase — hosts our database and authentication. Stores your account, profile, and scores.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store in-app purchases.
- Google — Sign in with Google (if you use it).
- RevenueCat — manages and validates in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Other users can see your username, display name, and scores where they appear on public leaderboards and spintime boards.
4. Advertising
DAEM may display advertising or sponsored placements. Where we work with advertising partners, we aim to use contextual placements rather than building detailed profiles of you. If we introduce any advertising partner that processes personal information, this policy will be updated to name them and describe your choices. We do not share your throw history or account email with advertisers.
5. Children
DAEM is rated for general audiences but is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and score data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, purchase records) to meet legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations.
7. Your rights and choices
- Account deletion. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time from within the App's settings, or by emailing privacy@daem-app.com.
- Access and correction. You can ask us for a copy of your personal data or to correct it.
- Withdraw consent. You can stop using sensor features by not taking scored throws; you can revoke a social sign-in from the provider's settings.
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. We honor these requests regardless of where you are based.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our backend. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in the App or on the Site.
